Hello, I have downloaded project professional 2013 trial version and it came with project server 2013 which is not setup. I would like to have a way to have another user from a different location view my project file at the same time as me and see me edit information in real-time. How would I go about doing this. What I have been doing before is using gantter with google drive so others can view my changes in real-time. Gantter is very limited in functionality though.
What is the simplest way to do this? Is there any free services to do this?
Do I have to setup project web apps?
Do I need sharepoint services or can I use another service like azure?
Is this anyway at all to publish the dashboard features that come with project professional such as the "Work Overview" to the web where others can view it or save it as a .htm?

If you want someone to see your edits in real time, I would use something like Go-To-Meeting, SKype, or Lync and share your desktop.

Blog http://MyProjectExpert.com contains my field notes and SQL queries
In addition to what Michael suggested, Project server is one of the way to make the schedule Web based along with it also has loads of functionalities, but its not free
one of the other way to do it free would be to have sharepoint foundation 2010 installed(though relying services like SQl and other may require license) and hosted on internet, followed by which you can sync your MPP with sharepoint task list and people on the otehr side can always view the updates in real time on sharepoint
Haven't tried it out but seems feasible
