Merge databases RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi gurus

I would like to know if this is possible

I have a sql server instance that is the back-end for a third party app. this application creates a new DB every month so I have a bunch of databases.

I would like to merge this monthly database into a year database so I can move it to another server I hope I make sense.

    Thanks a bunch gurus

  • As long as the data structure is same.create a shell database and move data from monthly database to the new databases respective table. you can use ssis or import/export wizard tool
