    Is the search engine able to adjust the result rank by real click data by users?

  • Hi Sam, 

    The search engine is not able to adjust the ranking model automatically from click data but we do offer the tools so you can create it yourself.

    The first step would be to add traffic analytics for your site or app, and you can do that using Application Insights, as explained here: Search traffic analytics

    Once you have the data in Application Insights, you can use their Continuous Export feature to copy the data to blob storage. Now that the click data is in storage, you can set up a job that feeds this info but into the index and use a scoring profile that uses the magnitude function to bump documents that have been clicked more (or any other metric that would be useful for you) 

    This would involve updating each document periodically so you can keep track of the popular or useful documents. 

    If you only implement the first step, you can use the Power BI dashboard to manually keep track of most clicked documents and analyze the search quality of your service.
