  • Big problems after upgrade from Access 2013 to 2016. Queries aren't working and some functionality lost. Are ActiveX Controls gone? What is the work around?

  • When basic functions such as Date, Left, Right, ... err normally this indicates a VBA Reference issue.  Open the VBE and go into Tools -> References ... and see if any are marked as MISSING and fix them.  Once fixed, compile your VBA project and try again.
