can anyone recommend a good ebook on native c++ win32 api programming. I know of "Microsoft Programming Windows API 5th Edition" but it was written in 1998 and i would think its out of date by now.

And i don't think much changed in Windows API programming since that time. Because at about this period programmers switched to MFC. And then came .NET with its languages.
