Managed EWS 2.0: Tasks folder creation fails if parent folder is non-tasks folder RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

when trying to create a tasks subfolder (FolderClass="IPF.Task") in a non-tasks folder within the public folder tree, the Folder.Save method throws an exception ("The type of the object in the store (TasksFolder) does not match that of the local object (Folder)."). The folder is created anyway, despite the thrown exception, but due to the exception, the FolderId is not available as a result of the Folder.Save method.

    - The managed EWS docs does not mention that there exists such a restriction.

    - Is this a known bug?

    Thanks,

    Franz
