Accessing AD to return the email address of a user (In VB)

Hi,

 I am writing a program where I want to automaticly input the username and email address of the user into text boxes in a web form.  This application is going to be only used on the Intranet, so I would have access to active directory.

I have been searching for an article or example in VB to help me understand what is required to accomplish this task. I would be greatfull to receive any helpful links\examples that anybody might have.

Have you looked at the posts pinned at the top of this page? They should give you a good start.

That said, how do you know who the user is? Are you using integrated authentication? Something else?

Once you know who the user is, you can retrieve the sAMAccountName and mail attributes from AD for the account and display them in your webform.
