help on xlSlicerCrossFilterHideButtonsWithNoData RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am doing an add-in on MS Project, it also uses MS Excel for reporting purposes. However I am using Office 2013, and also I used xlSlicerCrossFilterHideButtonsWithNoData, but since it is for 2013 only, I am having problems when some run it on 2010, are there any work around for this?

    Thanks,

    Gilbert

    According to your description, I think you could write conditional code to use version-specific functionality dependent on which version you're actually running in.

    The approach that how to write conditional code to use version-specific functionality is to put a version test in ThisAddIn_Startup, you could refer to below code:

    private void ThisAddIn_Startup(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
    {

        if (this.Application.Version == "11.0")
        {

            // 2003-specific code.

        }
        else
        {

            // 2007-specific code.

        }
    }
