Azure function that receives request from Internet RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everyone,

Is it possible to create an Azure Function that you can call it from Intenet (like a html page) and it communicates with API and renders the GUI based on the JSON it gets from the API?

I appreciate all kind of advice. Tacks.

  • You can absolutely build functions that respond to requests, just use a HTTP trigger. However Azure Functions is not currently designed for serving actual website content (e.g HTML, js files, etc). We recommend you use Azure App Service (Web Apps) for hosting your content.

If you want you can host build and host the backend APIs for your app on Functions and have your HTML/JS content access those APIs. To do this you'll typically need to configure CORS.
