go back to FTM RRS feed

  • Question

  • as stated in the subscription help "The File Transfer Manager (FTM) is the download client if you are running Internet Explorer on Windows. Otherwise you will use the download manager included with your web browser. MSDN Subscriber Downloads detects your browser automatically and offers you the appropriate experience."

FTM is listed at the method for downloads on windows. as IE 8 has no buit in download manager... the site actually says use FTM

lets go back to FTM please. I am a paying customer.  If you need, you can tie new download to new beta site. old reguar site back to FTM.

  • I agree. There was NOTHING wrong with the FTM and all this is doing is causing a big headache for us users. It's been a little over a week now, and yes I am in regular contact with someone at Microsoft, but the issue really hasn't been solved. I'm constantly giving traceroute logs but I'm not seeing any results.
