GPO and login screen RRS feed

  • Question

  • I upgraded a Windows 7 Enterprise copmuter that I use to test GPO settings to Windows 8 Developer Preview. The install went fine, but I haven't been able to login yet.

I have an Interative Logon Message set thru GPO, and its quite long text, after computer boots up, I get to Windows 8 wallpaper and clock, I press Ctlr-Alt-Delete, get a green screen with my custom login message, I press Ctrl-Alt-Del again and then I get nothing after that. Just a green screen and it seems that all I can do is press Ctrl-Alt-Del to go back and forth between my login message and blank screen, I can't get out of it.

I banged a few keys on the keyboard and I've been able to get a scroll bar (not helpful), and that's it. Any ideas?

  • Never mind. I was able to find the OK button by using the Easy Access tools and ran the Windows updates. The Interactive Logon message and OK button is now displaying properly.
