    Hi There,

I have installed VS 2015, while creating new project I am selecting Asp.Net Web application project and after that I am selecting Empty project(4), but I only see web form checkbox and no MVC checkbox option.

Please help. I want to create MVC 5 project.

    Thanks! for your reply.

I got it fixed, Initially I did a custom install and didn't select the "Web Essentials tools" checkbox in the installer, I ran the installer again with Web Essentials tools, now I can create MVC projects.

    Thanks,

    Deepak

    Hi Joshidp,

Thank you for the post  and welcome to the forum.

I don't see any issue with Visual Studio 2015 for creating ASP.NET Web Application with MVC choice. As below I have selected Empty template for Asp.Web application and it shows the checkboxes correctly.

You may try to repair your Visual Studio instance.

    Hi mostafasydne,

Thanks for the reply and Welcome :)

I have already repaired VS 2015 twice. In comparison to options in your screen shot I see below options(MVC check box is missing), do I need to install any more add-on?

Where is the image?? For some reason I am not able to attach images. Basically MVC check box is missing for me.

    Thanks!

We don't need install other add-ins to use MVC, for this issue, you can consider uninstalling VS 2015, and reinstall it again, and check whether it can fix it.

You can download Visual Studio Community 2015 from Microsoft Visual Studio download center.

Please let me know if you need any help.

    With regards,

    Angie
