  • Question

  • I have an installation of AS 2000 that Windows 7 32-bit clients seamless access. I can not make the Client 64-bit Windows 7 access to AS 2000.
That drivers must be installed ?. You can access? Can anybody help me?

  • Hi Jzasky,

According to your description, you can access SSAS 2000 via Windows 32-bit clients. But you fail to access via Windows 7 64-bit clients. Right?

Since there's no 64-bit client OS when SSAS 2000 32-bit was built, it may have compatibility issue with 64-bit clients. As I know, there's no 64-bit management tool for SSAS 2000. So I suggest you still use 32-bit client tool for accessing SSAS 2000.

  • Simon's correct, there are no x64 providers specifically for AS 2000 - x64 client operating systems just did not exist at all when SSAS 2000 was around, even most servers were 32 bit at that time.

This was confirmed in this thread by one of the developer's who works on SSAS:
