Publish Lightswitch Silverlight application to Azure via Visual Studio Online Build Service RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, I am trying to setup continuous integration for a lightswitch app via vso build service to be published to an azure could service. The project builds properly but it runs into errors when the build service tries to publish the project onto azure. This is the error:

C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\LightSwitch\v4.5\Microsoft.LightSwitch.targets (160): The "BuildSchema" task failed unexpectedly.
System.InvalidOperationException: An error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server instance '(LocalDB)\v11.0'.
Connection Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed while attempting to consume the pre-login handshake acknowledgement. This could be because the pre-login handshake failed or the server was unable to respond back in time. The duration spent while attempting to connect to this server was - [Pre-Login] initialization=39218; handshake=125; ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Connection Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed while attempting to consume the pre-login handshake acknowledgement. This could be because the pre-login handshake failed or the server was unable to respond back in time. The duration spent while attempting to connect to this server was - [Pre-Login] initialization=39218; handshake=125; ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The wait operation timed out

I do realize that the problem is related to it trying to publish the database to localdb. Does anyone know a way to configure it to publish the database to the correct database like when manually publishing? Thanks in advance!

    Sincerely,
