  • Question

  • Hi

    I have downloaded a sample application for GridView Lazy loading, sample was for windows 8 and running fine in windows 8 with visual studio 2012.

    I opened (using Retarget) this project in windows 8.1 using Visual Studio 2013 and facing error as following:

    "Type 'Binding' used after '{' must be a Markup Extension"

    Sample can be downloaded from below link:

    http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsapps/GridViewLazy-loading-sample-605f0d18

    below are the code in which I am facing this issue:

    <

    GridHorizontalAlignment="Left"Width="250"Height="250"data:Item.Loaded="{BindingIsLoaded}">

    <BorderBackground="{StaticResourceListViewItemPlaceholderBackgroundThemeBrush}">

    </Border>

    <StackPanelVerticalAlignment="Bottom"Background="{StaticResourceListViewItemOverlayBackgroundThemeBrush}">

    <TextBlockText="{BindingTitle}"Foreground="{StaticResourceListViewItemOverlayForegroundThemeBrush}"Style="{StaticResourceTitleTextStyle}"Height="60"Margin="15,0,15,0"/>

    <TextBlockText="{BindingDescription}"Foreground="{StaticResourceListViewItemOverlaySecondaryForegroundThemeBrush}"Style="{StaticResourceCaptionTextStyle}"TextWrapping="NoWrap"Margin="15,0,15,10"/>

    </StackPanel>

    </Grid>

  • This appears to be a user-uploaded sample.  It may not be tested on Windows 8.1.

    NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined objects and unknown namespaces.
