'USB 3.0 Speed Switch Test' is failing RRS feed

    Subjecting 'USB 3.0 Speed Switch Test' for Super speed USB 3.0 Mass storage device is failing with below message:

    'Error: 0x80004005, Unspecified error   Get connector IOCTL returned companion port 0 on \\?\usb#root_hub30#4&20ffa35a&0&0#{f18a0e88-c30c-11d0-8815-00a0c906bed8} port 20   File=testsrc\driverstest\usb\logotests\common\usbwlk.cpp Line=644'.


    WHCK client machine:

    host : intel DH87MC desktop latest bios versoin MCH8710H.86A.0158.2014.1100 (9/12/2014)

    os  : Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64bit version 6.3.9600

    HCK Kit : WHCK for Windows 8.1 version 8.100.26846 (with QFE 11)

    Please help!

    PS: Last time I ran this test and it passed was in July 2014.

  • Identified the issue for the failure reported in comment #0 and it was due to host machine's

    latest BIOS :(

    Downgraded host machine intel DH87MC bios version from 0158 to 0157.

    Now, USB 3.0 Speed Switch Test is passing!
