Significantly more memory consumption when called from Unmanaged code RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a C# class library. I have exposed it to COM.

If I call functions of this library from another managed application it behaves normally. However the process consumes excess memory (about 30 times more , compared with using through managed code) when I call the function of this library from unmanaged code.

Is there a "Good Programming Practice" that I am missing here while working with interop/Interoperability?

What could be the cause of the excess memory consumption?

Any help, suggestion, ideas, comments are appreciated!
