How to fix unloaded blank image in outlook mail while internet connection is not there RRS feed

  • I am sending a mail which contains internet images, when internet is not there on destination system, they are seeing some blank unloaded image on their mail. How to avoid this blank image and show none if there is no internet at destination.

    We can't do any dynamic validation, bcoz its already sent mail. can i do some fix over xhtml?

  • Your design goals are contradictory.
     
    An attached image used in an email is fixed by the attachment content. It cannot be dynamic. A dynamic image can be referenced in the HTML for an email, and the image will then change as the image at that URL is changed, but if there is no Internet connectivity the image won't show at all.

  • Why not embed the images as attachments? All you need to do is refer to the image through the cid attribute of an img tag in the HTML body and make sure the PR_ATTACH_CONTENT_ID property on the corresponding image attachment is set to the same value.

  • The fix looks good. But when we Forward the mail, we cannot see the images in the Compose window . How to deal with this?

  • If Outlook recognizes the image attachment as an image used in the HTML body, the attachment will be copied.
