Custom adapter to use RestFul services in biztalk server 2009 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I got a request to build an application in BizTalk 2009 that consumes RestFul service.

I heard like BizTalk server 2009 doesn’t support RestFul services.

Kindly help me with some article on creating custom adapter , route message to rest services.

  • But when I tried "Register the behavior" this is not supportive for BizTalk server 2009 i guess

    What do you mean exactly?

BizTalk Server 2009 supports any WCF extension.

I think the issue was that the behavior cannot be registered in the console in BizTalk 2009 but has to be set in the configuration file manually. WCF behaviors are indeed supported, but cannot be set in the GUI. 2010 and later has that support.

  • How RESTful?  I've found a lot of plain HTTP services are called 'RESTful' just because they're not SOAP.

  • I think you have to register the behavior in machine.config on a BTS2009 machine.
