Is there a RDP(remote desktop protocol) ActiveX for Metro Apps with C++ ?

    Question

  • Hi,

I'm looking for the activex Control for RDP, I only find the Activex for JavaScript and don't find any information about that in C++. From this topic :

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh974571.aspx

Rob said that there is no sample in other languages, but how can we develop a app that supports RDP protocol with C++ ?

Could you give me some information about that please ? Thanks in advance.

  • From the topic you link:

Remote Desktop Services objects for Windows Store apps are designed for use by Windows Store apps using JavaScript.

There is no C++ targeted version.

Thanks, Rob. So that means we have no change to develop an RDP supported Metro App with C++  ?   And do you have any plan to support RDP with C++ for Metro style Apps ?

    Regards.

    Dong.

  • Microsoft does not currently provide an RDP API for Windows Store apps in C++.

I cannot comment on future plans.
