  • For web development, you need to install the Web Developer Edition (not just the C# edition).

  • Hi Katillac,

    Thank you for your post.

As Dimitri mentioned, for Visual Studio 2008 Express products, only Visual Web Developer 2008 supports web development.
Visual C# Express Edition supports the project like Winform.
Please check the product comparison: http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/f/e/5feb6914-bcdf-432f-81c7-e386812b086a/VisualStudio2008-ProductComparison-v1.08.pdf

Hope this helps! If you have any concern, please feel free to let me know.

    Best regards,

  • Thank you, Dimitri and Yichun!   Sorry for the delay in responding, but my question now is, how do I uninstall Visual Studio C#?  When I go to add/remove programs there are multiple programs MS SQL Server, MS Visual C#, MS Visual C++, MS Windows SDK VS 2008 SP1 Express....etc. etc. I didn't download all this other stuff.  If you can provide direction, I would be very grateful.

  • Hi Katillac,

    Thank you for your reply.

When I go to add/remove programs there are multiple programs MS SQL Server, MS Visual C#, MS Visual C++, MS Windows SDK VS 2008 SP1 Express....etc. etc. I didn't download all this other stuff.

Some components like SQL Server 2008 Express Edition are installed together during Visual C# 2008 installation.

To remove Visual C# 2008, you can refer to my reply in the following post to have a try.
