  • Hi,

First not of all .Net Framework version support windows XP.

    Such as:

.Net Framework 4.0 need windows XP SP3 support.

.Net Framework 4.5 and 4.5.1 don't support windows XP.

Actually we have a tool to verify installed .NET on your OS. You can use the .NET Framework Setup Verification Tool to verify the installation state of one or more versions of the .NET Framework

    Download from :

    http://blogs.msdn.com/cfs-file.ashx/__key/CommunityServer-Components-PostAttachments/00-08-99-90-04/netfx_5F00_setupverifier_5F00_new.zip

If the verification tool finds any issues, there is a .NET Framework Repair Tool that can be found at the following locations:

More information is in the blog at the following locations.
