SSIS Warning Code DTS_W_MAXIMUMERRORCOUNTREACHED RRS feed

  • Question

  • Im failing a script task explicitly within the code and when I get to the tasks that are to be executed upon failure, only the 1st is executed.  The others are not, and I get this in the package execution results

    Warning: SSIS Warning Code DTS_W_MAXIMUMERRORCOUNTREACHED.  The Execution method succeeded, but the number of errors raised (1) reached the maximum allowed (1); resulting in failure. This occurs when the number of errors reaches the number specified in MaximumErrorCount. Change the MaximumErrorCount or fix the errors.

    Is this to be expected since I failed the script task?  I also changed this property on the package level properties, but this still is the same message I get in the results pane.

    Suggestions?

  • Yes, you probably used

    Dts.TaskResult = Dts.Results.Failure

    which did that.

    But you will see this message even tough the package does not fail (after MaximumErrorCount adjusted).

    This is by design.
