iphlpapi.dll library RRS feed

  • Question

  • Sir,

I was trying to install an internet usage meter on my win 7 HB system, and the problem is I am not able to get the DOWNLOAD details using the application. When I contact the app developer, I got a message like this.

Technical details of the issue are as follows: BitMeter get its upload/download rates from the iphlpapi.dll library, using the GetIfTable/GetIfEntry functions, and the values contained in the MIB_IFROW data structure. Some network drivers have not implented these function correctly, and either the dwInOctets (download) or dwOutOctets (upload) members are always set to 0, causing Bitmeter to report 0 upload or download rates.

What can I do to rectify this problem ? Will the problem be solved if I update the driver ? If yes, which driver ?

    Thank You...
