How to determine an item in the File menu of the Word2010 is selected RRS feed

  • I don't think this can be done programmatically. Office PIA haven't provide such functionality.

  • I'm not sure I understand the question...

    If you want to determine when someone has selected an entry on the file menu, then you need to define your own Ribbon for the menu points you want to monitor, using the appropriate callback attributes. There's no way in the VSTO or Office APIs to monitor the built-in commands.
