Monitoring VMs hosted in Azure

Question
-
Hi,
I have my infrastructure hosted on Azure VMs, Storage, Cloud Services and Websites, with no on premise footprint.
Being a newbie in Operational insights I am trying to gather my performance data , event logs of my VMs.
I tried to enable monitoring using WAD and Agent, The capacity planning tile shows "Waiting for data" message.
The Logs search show only 2 events in the VM
I am not sure if I am missing anything, please suggest.
Thanks

Performance data is in the works http://feedback.azure.com/forums/267889-azure-operational-insights/suggestions/6519061-collect-custom-windows-performance-counters and http://feedback.azure.com/forums/267889-azure-operational-insights/suggestions/6519356-collect-custom-performance-counters-from-windows-a
So, besides the onprem Capacity stuff, there is no perf data to be seen just yet. Hopefully soon, follow those items...

Capacity pack requires onprem HyperV+OpsMgr+VMM - it was designed as a 'companion' to the Cloud Platform Solution and/or customers running their own private clouds and/or hosters.

For Event Logs, do your VM actually write to Azure Storage / WAD ? If so, you can enable collection from the Azure Portal / OpInsights / Storage and OMS will pick up whatever windows event log ends up written in WAD by that machine. If you have 'Security and Audit', also the Security eventlog will be pulled in the same way.
For the agent based, you have to configure which event logs and the severities of their events that you want the agent to pull up. IN OMS portal from 'Settings' -> 'Logs' .

Thanks Daniele, I can see the events now, however the performance data is missing.

Azure Diagnostics is populating the tables with performance data and events, I am wondering how can I see the performance data in OMS.
