Creating Appointments from an Access Web App

Question

Looking for a way to create an appointment using a form in an Access web app hosted on SharePoint.  Ideally I want to place the appointment directly in the calendar of my users, but if it's easier there are a number of TeamSite calendars that we can sync with their corresponding users.  Is this even remotely possible in a web app?

Sorry, no it isn't.

I would love to be proved wrong, but the way I see it there simply is no semantics for interacting with a SP calendar.
