MSTest, Ordered Tests and Web Performance Tests RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to place a Web Performance Test into an Ordered Test. When I execute this test via MSTest, it reports as failed, but the resulting test results file is empty. Is there any way I can look at what is going on with my tests? The documentation on Web Performance Tests mixing with MSTest is very sparse.

This seems to just not work. I've since given up on trying to use the ordered test for this purpose, instead just combining all of the step sequences I wanted to do into a single test, and then executing the remaining tests that do not depend on order in a separate mstest execution.

  • Hi pager,

Thank you fro posting in MSDN forum.

According to your description, first of all, please you ensure you could run the ordered test with web performance test successfully from test explorer in VS IDE.

Then you could try the following command to execute the ordered test suing mstest.exe in command line.

    C:\...\...\>mstest.exe /testcontainer:"C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\visual studio 2013\Projects\WebPerformanceTest\OrderedTest1.orderedtest"

    Hope it help you!
