Rate of Load Failure performance counter RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

    Does anyone know what "Rate of Load Failure" performance counter is about? Everytime i open my .NET web site i got high values for this performance counter.

    MSDN only refers to it as a problem in security or illegal format.

    I uploaded a picture to show you.

  • I'm guessing but here goes;
    1. It might the asp.net JIT in action, i.e. "have I got the type for this request, no then I need to compile it". So the counter is showing the normal behaviour. So my question to you is do you only see this the first time the web site is hit or each time?

    2. You have a genuine error trying to load something that isn't critical to the site.

    Either way you could use fuslogvw to see what is going on.
