Getting Debuggee initialization failed, HRESULT 0x80B00001 when running print tests on our ARM tablet RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, when attempting to run the Windows RT logo tests against our device we are always seeing the tests fail with the same reason.  They are all showing errors similar to this:

    Cannot execute 'PGremlin.exe "<some vendor> Class Driver" /Log:PGremlin.log /
    NoWaitForJobs /NoCountDown', HRESULT 0x80B00001
"Could not create new process from ARM architecture device."
    Debuggee initialization failed, HRESULT 0x80B00001
"Could not create new process from ARM architecture device."
ntsd: exiting - press enter ---

We have 2 types of ARM tablet that we are testing with.  The MS Surface and the Nvidia.

It seems like the issue is that we need to use UEFI to somehow boot into a debug mode.  But we cannot figure out how to do that.  The HCK test we have tried so far are:

    1. Print Driver Rendering Test (PGremlin)
    2. WIA_TreeProperties
    3. WSDMon Printer Verification

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!
