  • Hello ScottKeller,

What's the error you get when you are trying to install .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 on your OS? When you are trying to install .NET Framework, please make sure your OS Vista have updated to the latest, for Vista, it is SP2.

Another possible reason is that Vista contains .NET 2.0 and .NET 3.0, if they are corrupt, you may also not able to install. To fix this issue, you will need to use sfc /scannow to scan for your OS and repair .NET.

If you have no idea about the error, please use  http://aka.ms/vscollect  to gather the installation logs. After using it, you will find vslogs.cab from %temp% folder. Please upload the file to https://skydrive.live.com/  and share the link here.

    Regards,
