Right device to start developing apps for kinect

Hello All,

             I am Varun from India and this is regarding developing apps for kinect and I have also brought a kinect sensor for the same.But it turned out to have cable output only for xbox console & not for PC.So my question is will I be able to develop apps on the same device if I use adapter to connect kinect sensor with PC?

             Or Will I have to buy "Kinect For Windows" Only for developing apps.

The Kinect for XBox One sensor will work perfectly fine on the PC with the USB/power adapter.

There are no limitations or differences in the SDK between the For XBox One and For Windows v2 sensors.
