Visual Studio 2012 stops working RRS feed

Visual Studio 2012 Pro running normal or as administrator

When minimizing VS often happens that it stops working and reboots itself.

I analized the Activity Monitor Log file and noticed this error, everything else was ok:

    "Couldn't save the PRF C:\Users\my user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0\1033\cmdUI.PRF 8000ffff E_UNEXPECTED"

I looked everywhere and can't find a solution for these crashes that are causing me to, at least two times, loose my work.

    Any help would be nice.

    Hi jbengalito

You can also try repair your Visual Studio 2012, the following methods are available for you,

    To repair Visual Studio

    1. In Control Panel, on the Programs and Features page, choose the product edition that you want to repair, and then choose Uninstall/Change.

    2. In the Setup wizard, choose Repair, choose Next, and then follow the remaining instructions.

To repair Visual Studio in silent or passive modes (that is, repair from source)

    1. On the computer where Visual Studio is installed, open the Windows command prompt.

    2. Enter the following parameters:

    DVDRoot \vs_ProductName.exe </quiet|/passive> [/norestart]

    If ERRORLEVEL 1 Echo ERRORLEVEL=%ERRORLEVEL%

    Regards
