Unable to create app package

    Question

  • Hi,

I am developing a windows store app i want to run my app in tablet. I saw an article to run the store app you need an app package.

So when I am trying to create a local app package.I am getting errors:

Error 1 App manifest references the image 'Assets\StoreLogo.png' which does not have a candidate in main app package. D:\Currentbbcode\BbCAT-Windows\Blackboard\Package.appxmanifest 7 6 Blackboard
Error 2 App manifest references the image 'Assets\SplashScreen.png' which does not have a candidate in main app package. D:\Currentbbcode\BbCAT-Windows\Blackboard\Package.appxmanifest 21 26 Blackboard

My project contains both the storelogo and splashscreen in assests folder. It runs correctly without any errors in local machine. How can I solve this.

    Package.appxmanifest file code

    This

    Thanks,

    Alok.

  • Highlight each image in the package, check their properties. The "Build Action" should be set to "Content".

NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined objects and unknown namespaces.
