What happened to PR_MESSAGE_SUBMISSION_ID with Exchange 2013? RRS feed

  • Question

  • In testing one of our products against Exchange 2013 we've encountered a problem correlating delivery reports because the original message doesn't get a PR_MESSAGE_SUBMISSION_ID (A.K.A. PR_MTS_ID) property.

We've used this property to correlate messages & their delivery reports in one particular circumstance with messages/reports across a custom X.400 gateway - because other properties that usually correlate haven't been present or matched with earlier Exchange versions, and that's still the case with Exchange 2013.

So far in our testing we've come to the conclusion that Exchange 2010 and earlier do get the property set on the original message, and Exchange 2013 installations (CU11 & CU5) don't.

Is anyone aware that this is an intentional change between Exchange 2013 and earlier versions, and if so do you have any details about it?
