  • Hi winston Dsouza,

    Welcome to the MSDN forum.

Windows 8.1 (all editions) includes the .NET Framework 4.5.1 as an OS component, and it is installed by default.   When the .NET Framework is installed as a part of the OS, it does not appear in the Programs and Features (or Add/Remove Programs) control panel. You can have a look with this Docs to determine which version of .net framework installed on you PC already.

Note: if necessary, you could install higher version on your pc, here is an article which provides links for installing all versions of the .NET Framework from .NET Framework 4.5 to .NET Framework 4.8 on your computer.

Please feel free to let me know if it works to you.

    Sincerely

    May
