Unable to load C++ DLL from C# project :: The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect RRS feed

  • Hello all

    I am trying to load C++ dll from C# application. But facing one issue when i try to call function from the dll.

    I get error message as Unable to load DLL MyCode.dll': The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800736

    Could you please help me to solve this issue..

  • I added EntryPoint for the function imported usign DllImport method in C#.

    and my problem got solved. :)

  • My memorization is vague.

    Are all C++-Dll compiled on the platform type, which the process is running. (i.e. 32bit or 64bit)
