    Hi there are several ways you can check to see where you can speed up the ASP.NET application on Azure: -

    • enable compression
    • enable caching
    • use a CDN
    • use some basic tools to see why your site is slow

    It may be that your script files could potentially be large, things like JS or CSS files are a prime example. You can compress all these types of files in web.config like so: -

    <urlCompression doStaticCompression=”true” doDynamicCompression=”true” dynamicCompressionBeforeCache=”true” />

    You can also allow the kernel mode to cache in these JS and CSS files.

    <caching>
    <profiles>
    <add extension=”.aspx” policy=”CacheUntilChange” kernelCachePolicy=”DontCache” duration=”00:00:30″ varyByHeaders=”User-Agent” />
    <add extension=”.axd” policy=”CacheUntilChange” kernelCachePolicy=”DontCache” duration=”00:30:00″ varyByQueryString=”t,d”/>
    <add extension=’.js’ policy=’DontCache’ kernelCachePolicy=’CacheUntilChange’/>
    <add extension=’.css’ policy=’DontCache’ kernelCachePolicy=’CacheUntilChange’/>
    </profiles>
    </caching>

    Embedded resource files like .axd are also cached aswell as the .aspx files

    Check your data and web hosting are in the same region.
