Report Viewer 10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I installed Report Viewer 10 redistributable on top of Visual Studio 2008. I don't see the dll 'Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms.dll version 10' in windows\assembly.

Will Report Viewer 10 work on Visual Studio 2008, or should i install Visual Studio 2010.

  • You should be able to get it to work at runtime as long as your project targets .Net 3.5.  However, you won't get any design time support in VS 2008 (toolbox support, an RDLC editor, smart tag or other visual indications on the design surface, etc).  You will likely need to manually add a reference to the 10.0 assembly to your project.
