DrawImage and Memory RRS feed

I am experiencing difficulties with the JPEG/TIFF raster images using the overloaded drawimage method in my app: objgraphic.DrawImage(origbitmap,destinationRect,sourceRect,GraphicsUnit.Pixel) It seems slow and often fails running under IIS - with the fatal application event - aspnet_wp.exe (PID: 2488) was recycled because memory consumption exceeded the 306 MB (60 percent of available RAM). My images are large. There must be a solution for using hard disk as physical memory. Windows Virtual Memory didn't work! Are there any third party alternatives to DrawImage which are faster and more reliable? Siavash

It's an application that work on files that are going to print on dimensions about 3m x 2m, with 300dpi resolution. So must be larger that 5Mb at least! Even some of them up to a CD!(600Mb) :(

Siavash, I've raised this problem also. The fatal exception is the most annoying part. My problem was in displaying heavily compressed TIFF files. Microsoft have picked it up - but are pointing towards the capacity of the hardware. How much RAM has your box? Tom

Microsoft knows about this general problem and seems to consider it a non-issue. Their standard response seems to be "buy more ram".
