Service reference error: Message GetCustomerInfoRequest must not have headers to be used in RPC encoded style? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm new to WCF world, and recently, my boss assigned me a task that involves using a couple of different WCF services. I'm creating a web application that consumes a WCF service that is hosted on another server.

I have successfully created a service reference using the "Add Service Reference" tool of  Visual Studio:

Now, I want to consume the service (use its methods). I instantiated all of the objects needed by the methods. But whenever I try to use one of the methods, I receive an error saying: Message GetCustomerInfoRequest must not have headers to be used in RPC encoded style.

Can anybody please tell me what can be causing this error, and how it can be avoided? I have searched throughout the internet for a solution, but I did not get anything.

    Please help me!

    Abdul
