Install Windows Server 2008 into Virtual Server 2005 on a Vista OS RRS feed

  • Hello,
    Can i create a virtual machine or virtual server on my Vista 4gb-64bit machine and then install "Windows Server 2008" into that virtual machine/server?

  • I think you can first install virtual server 2005 R2, creat a virtual machine, and install server 2008 on that. Since your host is vista, installing virtual server 2005 should be okay.

    • Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition
    • Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition

      Note Without ISA Server 2000 or ISA Server 2004
    • Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2
    • Microsoft Windows XP Professional, x64 Edition
    • Windows Vista
