  • You may also want to look at http://azurestoragesamples.codeplex.com/ project as well on CodePlex. It contains code samples for Azure Storage both using Storage Client library and REST API. Plus its open source!!!

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi,

If you want to create a RESTful application/service in Windows Azure you should go with ASP.NET Web API: http://www.asp.net/web-api This allows you to easily create RESTful applications with the same programming model as ASP.NET MVC. Besides that it allows you to use the Azure SDK to interact with table storage.

Now, if you just want to talk to the table storage using its REST api you should follow the links provided by Vaibhav Gujral.

  • I want to thank you Sandrino, my question was to be precise ,

implement REST interface using Microsoft Azure Cloud platform using .Net and C# . The rest interface can be name/email storage. and it has two levels for example http://localhost/name and  http://localhost/name/email.    the actions on both levels can http://localhost/name

GET , gets list of names POST adds new name and for the second  http://localhost/name/email.....GET, gets all emails, PUT updates email and DELETE removes email.          and the names and emails should be sored at azure table  storage or Azure SQL.

  • Thank you Vaibhav so much. May be I should have been clearer.

what I want is to implement a simple REST interface which can store name and emails. using Azure platform. And it has two levels like:

http://localhost/name and http://localhost/name/email. and This has to be stored on Azure table or Azure sql.

I was able to do few asp.net web api's (mvc4) but I dint get any clue to use the windows Azure sdk.

    Thanx for the help
