Launching Add-in Windows Form in Outlook 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an Outlook 2010 add-in made in VSTO 2010 that launches a Windows from from the ribbon. I'm writing an Outlook 2007 version now. However, Outlook 2007 does not have a ribbon in the navigation window which is where the add-in needs to be. How do I launch my form without the ribbon? Can I add an icon in the tray programatically?

  • Outlook 2007 uses command bars in the Explorer.

You can add buttons using the Explorer.CommandBars collection.
