Basic PieChart ... RRS feed

  • Question

  • Greetings All,

    I'm simply trying to create a two segment Piechart (in a WPF App) that I can databind value(s) to.

    I'm not a big coding guy so I'm hoping it can be achieved using the 'Pieseries' in Assets ...

    >> Assets -> Catagories -> DataVisualisation -> PieSeries

    ... But I'm getting nowhere, I'm presented with an empty PieSeries and don't know what the first step is, are there no tutorial showing a step by step of this feature?

    Many Thanks in Advance
    Regards,

  • Greetings Chuck,

    Many thanks for your reply; I did have a go at the links you posted - unfortunately they were beyond me...  Despite that, I have found a way of circumventing the problem through using this '3rd party' wizard: "amCharts Bundle for WPF " downloaded from http://wpf.amcharts.com/download ). It seems to be working fine so far although it wasn't designed to be used in Blend and a few warning messages pop up one in a while.

    Many Thanks,

  • What you want is the wpf toolkit charting tools, here is a page that explains the pie chart fairly well:

    http://blogs.msdn.com/wpfsdk/archive/2009/06/25/new-chart-controls-for-wpf.aspx

    and, a great collection of links by one of the people involved with the toolkit project:

    Please feel free to post questions if those links don't get you what you need.
