  • Hi Shaimaa,

It's a style issue. The compatibility of the different browsers on the javascript and styles are not the same. By default, the menu style of SharePoint has works fine on Chrome, so i guess it's your custom code issue. I suggest you use the W3C standards to customize your css and check whether your custom javascript code is compatible with multiple browsers.

  • Here is what I think:

    • IE and Firefox renders the menu as <table> and <a>
    • However, Google Chrome renders it as <div> and <span> and doesn't render the menu well.

To solve the issue, you might wanna use something like: http://www.asp.net/CssAdapters/

  • Hi Shaimaa,

What patch revision of SharePoint are you using in your 2007 environment?

There is a good chance that a pre-2010 environment is going to have some rather tough issues with the newer browsers. Even within 2010, most issues were not cured for non-MS browsers until SP1 and beyond.

If your farm is not current patch-wise (in other words, 2007 with the latest patch), you might want to check and see if the newer patches help browser compatibility...

    Hope this helps,
