    Hi all,

I have a question about oData service consuming.

Does odata was called by frond-end language (javascript) or back-end language (C#)? or both?

    Hi Ming yu,
As per your case, OData is neither javascript nor code-behind language C#.

For your reference, check the details below :

    1. The Open Data Protocol (OData) is a data access protocol for the web.

    2. OData provides a uniform way to query and manipulate data sets through CRUD operations (create, read, update, and delete).

3.It can applicable for both ASP.Net MVC & ASP.Net Web API

4.ASP.NET Web API supports both v3 and v4 of the protocol

5.OData (Open Data Protocol) is a standardized protocol for creating and consuming data APIs through regular HTTP requests and REST.

6.It is the “ODBC of the Web” and provides a standard solution for very common Web API patterns.
For example, OData includes support for queries, paging, and batching, among   many other typical requirements
