XHTML rendering capability in Powerpoint 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I would like to find out if there is a capability in Powerpoint 2007, render an XHTML code for each slide. The reason for that is I have a rich text editor embeded into a web form that saves the contents into my database that I would like later to extract and generate a powerpoint presentation without using Microsoft Office Powerpoint presentation or do I need to go manually rename each XHTML tag into Powerpoint 2007 compliant format?

Would appreciate if someone could shed some light on this.

  • The new 2007 format uses a 3 tier'd heirarchy to produce a slide onscreen, take a look at OOXML explained by Wouter Van Vugt, it explains how the heirarchy works.

So i dont think it will be as easy as just renaming the tags. You could save a template with placeholders for text, and insert the text into the placeholders using the OOXML SDK, or some other xml tool.
