SQL Server 2008 maintenance job fail after 100% RRS feed

  • Hi,

    Some backup maintence plan fail after 100% with error 64, it was some kind of network problem.
    I'm thinking to backup on SQL Server's local disk and then copy to the remote target.
    But how to do it in the maintence plan?

  • That functionlity isn't in maint plans. I suggest you write a powershell script for this, and start that job after your maint plan has finished.

  • To backup database to a network drive may fail due to network issue.
    The prefer way is to backup your database locally and copy your .bak file through other ways (powershell script, robocopy etc).
    You can download a very good utitility script for backup:
