Configuring ASMX web serivices in IIS 7 RRS feed

  • We have legacy web application that was developed using VS 2005/.Net framework 2.0 and have couple of ASMX Web services. I need to configure these web services in my local system.In my system I have VS 2012 and IIS 7.0.                          I am new to ASMX Web services and can anyone guide me steps involved to configure / Host / Test ASMX web services to my local system.

    This following article hopes to make it clearer on how to publish a web service in an IIS 7 environment. Its describes creating a new web site to host the web service and test the web services, as well and adding the web service as an application to an existing web site, I think it should meet your reqiurement, please try to check it:
